Well, it's been awhile...

Yea, things got screwy for a bit. We decided scrapping the old band and starting totally new would be the best thing to do. And that's what we did. We have a name now, but we're keeping it on the down-low for a bit until we're ready...

I had to get a new bass, though. My Musicmaster just wasn't cutting it and, let's face it, it sucked a bit. So I went and bought an OLP MM2 today. It's what I could afford and it's the closest I could come to getting a MusicMan, which I think are just the best things in the world, and sounds great. I'm excited. I'd put pictures up, put pictures don't do it justice.

Just you wait and see.

We are going to hit the ground running and fuck you up. You are going to be amazed at what shit we come up with. We're going to change the fucking scene.

Just you fucking wait.

This requires some explanation.

And it's a situation that I don't even fully understand yet since I haven't been completely briefed on it.

We decided to call the Toe Tapping Scoundrels quits, hence the name of this blog now. But we're still supposed to be practicing and writing new songs, but that's still a bit undetermined at the moment.

I suppose I have a place in the band. No one has told me what the total situation is. There might be one last show with some of the original members. And I may be playing the show if I don't go out of town that day to Cleveland. Like I said, it's all up in the air. So we'll see what's going on.

Another practice

It seems that the band is beginning to become more cohesive as we progress farther and farther.

We began to get brass and woodwind parts figured out tonight. And we succeeded a bit. But just a bit. It'll take some time to get everything down.

I finally got some lyrics tonight. I guess I'm now the singer as well as the bass player, but we'll see how well I do both. I began to sing a little bit tonight and I seem to have found the right tone for the songs. I hope it sticks.

Welcome

This is the first post of many.

This is where I will document the journey that is the Toe Tapping Scoundrels and my membership in it.

I joined back in June when there was a mass exodus of band members. We're currently regrouping and writing new songs while learning a few old ones to continue on. I would really prefer that we change the name of the band, but we'll see what occurs.

We wrote a really cool piece today that will act as an introduction to our sets. It'll be amazing. You won't believe your ears when we get it done and finally play it at a show...
